Why Join Thorpe Hall?

Thorpe Hall currently has vacancies and welcomes new members. There are numerous clubs within a 10 mile radius of Southend-on-Sea but not all clubs are the same.  Before deciding on which to club to join, come and visit us, play the course, talk to our members, meet our staff and our Professionals - it's all part of the process.

The course is central to maintaining a happy membership. Our experienced Course Manager and his team of seven green keepers work alongside our Green's Committee to ensure on-going maintenance programs and new projects are prioritised.

The Club is committed to providing a healthy budget to ensure:-
  • Maximum course playability year round
  • Quality of greens, tees, fairways and bunkers are maintained and improved
  • Our trees are maintained, pollarded and  replaced.as necessary

Recent new members gave a number of reasons for joining Thorpe:-

  • A challenging and well maintained course
  • A very welcoming membership
  • An active and varied social calendar

Our Men's Section organise roll ups on most days of the week and we have a strong Veterans Section many of whom compete in our Monday League.

Our Ladies Section is vibrant, growing and successful having reached the final of the EGU Bronze Team Competition in 2017 and in 2018 won the ELCGA Harris Bowl.

Our Cadet Section is one of the strongest in the County and has a glowing reputation for developing young talent.
